You have outgrown your computer and have bought a new one. What to do with the old one? An article in Business Week offers some solutions.

• Find out if the company where you are buying a new computer can haul away your old machines and dispose of them properly.
• Search online: Google”PC recycling,” for local companies that will accept your computers, monitors, hard drives, and other high-tech machinery.
• Donate to charities or schools [tax-deductible option]

I would also suggest selling it on Craigslist or giving it away on FreeCycle.
