Keeping Nickels, not taking the wooden ones…

Nichelle Stephens has attended two universities, attained one degree in Accounting, worked for two Big 4 firms, one major retailer and has lived in 4 cities. She knows numbers! Nichelle Stephens has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and she is a Quickbooks expert.  She is also the co-founder and event organizer for Cupcakes Take The Cake, and the founder of new blog, Cool Blk Ppl.

Nichelle started Keeping Nickels in 2006 as a easy way to distill information about small business bookkeeping, personal finance, entrepreneur advice and online financial applications to people who work for themselves like her. Keeping Nickels welcomes submissions from writers.

Nichelle has spoken at SXSW Interactive in March 2009 and in March 2010. Her 2010 SXSW panel, The Broke Diaries, was featured in an ABC News article, 5 Social Media to Saving Money. She spoke at Blogging While Brown in June 2010. She spoke at TECHmunch Austin in March 2011, and co-produced TECHmunch NYC in June 2011.
